Description:

We’ve got big plans for you
Network Rail is at the heart of revitalising Britain’s railway. Over the next five years we’re investing £35bn on improving and developing the network. As demand for rail transport reaches levels not seen for 50 years, the challenges we face become ever more complex.

Challenges like scheduling three million passenger journeys every day; creating timetables up to two years in advance; and balancing the needs of rail operators and freight companies. These are just some of the issues you’ll be helping us to tackle as part of our Operational Planning team. We’re currently recruiting for the following roles, but please check the website regularly for other opportunities:

Operational Planning Managers / c.£30,500 / IRC426217

Operational Planning Specialists / c.£30,500 / IRC424206

Operational Planners / c.£24,000 / IRC426204

Schedule Planning Managers / c.£30,500 / IRC426209

For all of the roles a specific background in this field is less important than your ability to think laterally, solve problems and get the best out of IT. We’ll fill in the gaps with all the training you need, and keep developing you for new challenges ahead. Rest assured, you’ll have fantastic support to help you build a successful, satisfying career with Network Rail.
