Art Handling Technician

We are currently recruiting for four Art Handling Technicians based at our off-site location in outer London.

The role will deliver a range of collections-based activities including loading/unloading from vehicles, packing/unpacking, handling, installing/de-installing and creating installation files for new artworks gifted to Tate’s collection. This will involve removing artworks from crates or soft wrapped packing materials, installing and assisting Conservators with the condition checking and the Photography team with the photo shoots. You will be working within our storage facilities.

You will be able to demonstrate practical experience and technical skills that will give you the ability to problem solve prioritising the care, installation and movement of art works. You will have an adaptable attitude, great communication skills and enjoy working flexibly as part of a team, committed to getting the job done.

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 June 2024.
